I am a German coach and the founder of SuperiorGerman. I work with people in Germany who are highly capable in their field, but do not always sound as precise and intelligent in German as they really are.

What interests me about language is not only whether a sentence is right or wrong.
Why does one phrase capture a thought exactly, while another is correct but too simple, imprecise or unsuitable?
At lower and intermediate levels, it is often still about being able to say what you want to say at all. The further you progress, the more the nuances matter.
Which verb really fits? Which phrase is appropriate in this situation? How can you express the same thought more precisely?
That is exactly what I specialise in.
I correct very precisely. If a sentence is grammatically correct but does not say what you actually mean, I do not simply leave it as it is.
I show you why another phrasing fits better and what nuance separates the alternatives. We work not only on grammar, but especially on word choice, sentence structure, pronunciation and register.
I want you to gradually hear and feel for yourself which phrasing truly fits.
Your German should not merely work. It should show what you can do.
I have already supported more than 900 German learners. Again and again, I have noticed the same thing: many learners understand an astonishing amount of German. But when speaking, they use only a small part of it.
They recognise sophisticated words immediately, but cannot retrieve them spontaneously. They understand precise phrasing, but keep returning to the same simple words themselves.
So the problem is often not a lack of knowledge.
The problem is accessing that knowledge at the right moment.
The SuperiorGerman method grew out of this observation.

The SuperiorGerman method closes the gap between the German you understand and the German you can use spontaneously.
Words do not become part of your language simply because you read them often enough. You have to try to retrieve them yourself. That is why we train advanced vocabulary through active recall and then use it directly in conversation.
The goal is not to recognise a word. The goal is for it to come to mind when you need it.At a higher level, there is often more than “right” and “wrong”. Several words may be grammatically possible and still have different meanings, nuances or effects.
So we do not only ask: “Can you say it like that?” We ask: “Which word expresses exactly what you mean?”A sophisticated word is of little use if you do not know when and how to use it. That is why we learn words and phrases in realistic situations: explaining, arguing, qualifying, raising objections and expressing complex thoughts clearly.
In conversation, I do not only correct obvious mistakes. I also show you sentences that are correct but imprecise, unnatural or too simple. Step by step, you develop a finer feel for German and become less dependent on translations and memorised phrases.
